We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a high-quality children’s residential home.
The Registered Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring outstanding care, strong safeguarding practice and full compliance with Ofsted regulations.
ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Manager will work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with the flexibility to work from home one day each week. This structure supports a healthy work–life balance while ensuring consistent leadership and presence within the home. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee staffing, supervision, training, performance management, budgeting and all operational aspects of the home. You will ensure the environment remains safe, nurturing and focused on improving outcomes for young people with complex needs.
The Registered Manager role requires excellent decision-making skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to maintain high standards under pressure. Candidates must have significant experience working within children’s residential care, a strong understanding of legislation and regulations, and a proven ability to lead teams effectively.

Qualifications- Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and standards
- Experience in managing a children’s home or similar residential care setting
- Skills in staff management, including performance evaluation and development
- Knowledge of budget management and financial planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people
- Relevant qualifications in social work, childcare, or residential care management
- Flexibility to respond to the dynamic needs of the children’s home
- A current and valid driver’s license is advantageous
Salary: Up to £54,500
Working pattern: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with one day per week working from home.
