About the Role
Hippo Staffing is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client — a respected and growing provider of high-quality, therapeutic residential care for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
We are seeking an experienced Dual Registered Manager to lead and oversee two children’s residential services in Leicester. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring both homes deliver safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed care that promotes stability, growth, and positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong and effective leadership across two registered EBD homes.
- Ensure both services comply fully with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
- Develop and sustain a positive, therapeutic culture underpinned by child-centred and trauma-informed practice.
- Lead, motivate, and support teams to deliver exceptional care and achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development across both settings.
- Ensure robust safeguarding, incident management, and quality assurance processes are in place.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and partner agencies.
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Proven track record in managing EBD residential homes with successful Ofsted outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, care regulations, and therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about improving the lives and futures of young people.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between services.
