We are recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in user-centred design to support our mission. We work at the intersection of strategy, design, and technology to solve complex problems and create lasting value. Our collaborative and agile culture empowers our teams to make a genuine impact.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play an important role in making Hippo the best Consultancy out there. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team combining data, design, product, delivery, analysis and engineering to deliver bespoke digital services that make a positive and meaningful impact on organisations and society. You will act as a Senior Consultant to deliver Business Analysis services to our clients. You will be an expert in business analysis and a leader of people, confident in using different analysis and modelling techniques to clearly identify and articulate both user and business requirements to our diverse range of clients.
Our solutions empower our customers to build and support secure, scalable, and well-engineered systems beyond traditional boundaries that allow our customers to understand and get the most from their data and digital services. The Senior Business Analyst will be a key player and leader in this.
- Identify and apply the best Agile processes for projects, measuring outcomes effectively.
- Coach and mentor colleagues and actively shape Hippo's BA community of practice.
Essential Experience
- Expertise in business analysis within a user-centred design environment.
- Proven ability to work well with designers, influence research planning, and question research methods.
- Familiarity with service design standards, such as the Government Digital Service (GDS) standards or equivalents.
- Experience in gathering requirements using various methods and choosing the most appropriate one for the project.
- Ability to analyse data from different sources, including website analytics and research findings, to help others make decisions.
- Experience planning, running, and adjusting Agile ways of working for projects.

- Experience managing work by focusing on client needs and writing clear proposals.
- Ability to help set project goals and ensure all work contributes to achieving them.

We're on the lookout for top talent nationwide but you need to be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices. Given the dynamic nature of a consulting business, you may be required to work on-site at a Hippo office or at an in/out of town client location for a number of days per week (client dependent) and therefore candidates will need to be open/flexible to travel and working on one of those sites at least 2 days per week. We offer a generous relocation support package of up to 8,000 (please ask for terms and conditions) to help make your move a smooth one.
