Intermediate Data Analyst

As an Intermediate Data Analyst, you will play an important role in making Hippo the best Consultancy out there. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team combining data, design, product, delivery, analysis and engineering to deliver bespoke digital services that make a positive and meaningful impact on organisations and society. You will act as an Intermediate Consultant to deliver Data Analysis services to our clients.

Intermediate Data Analysts at Hippo are skilled professionals who bridge the gap between complex data sets and user needs, providing the insights necessary to build better digital services. Our solutions empower our customers to build and support secure, scalable, and well-engineered systems beyond traditional boundaries. We leverage deep data insights and continuous innovation to deliver awesome platforms that allow our customers to understand and get the most from their data and digital services.

Your Role in a Nutshell:

• Draw actionable insights from multiple data sources and communicate these effectively through reports and dashboards.
• Engage with client stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate these into requirements for analysis.
• Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and visualisation, including the use of business intelligence tools.
• Identify, collect and blend data from a range of systems and sources.
• Use appropriate data cleaning and management techniques to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Collaborate within your technical squad to explore, design and deliver solutions to client problems.
• Support Hippo’s Herd internally by sharing knowledge through workshops and team sessions.

Skills and experience that you need:

• A proven track record as a data analyst with experience summarizing and presenting data for users.
• Skilled in data cleansing, analysis, and visualisation using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
• Experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience using at least one language like Python or R.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain methodologies to stakeholders.
• A desire to continuously develop your own skills and adapt to changing client needs.

• Previous experience of working on GOV/NHS projects.
• Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Hippo Locations:

We are headquartered in Leeds and have offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. We're on the lookout for top talent nationwide but you need to be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices. Given the dynamic nature of a consulting business, you may be required to work on-site at a Hippo office or at an in/out of town client location for a number of days per week (client dependent) and therefore candidates will need to be open/flexible to travel and working on one of those sites at least 2 days per week.
