About The Role
Hippo is recruiting for Intermediate Business Analysts who also have experience working with data.
If you\’ve got some experience in business analysis and you\’re comfortable working in Agile teams, this is a fantastic opportunity.
As someone who\’s worked with data, you\’ll know how to analyse and model information, helping to uncover exactly what businesses and data systems need.

As an Intermediate Business Analyst, you will:
- Analyse problems and suggest different ways to improve services and products, giving clear and helpful advice.
- Contribute to workshops, build strong and lasting relationships, and help everyone agree on the same goals
- Study how businesses work, finding ways to make them more efficient.
- Use information and data to help you figure things out, explaining your business decisions clearly.
- Work with designers to create and test early versions of products, making sure they meet people\’s needs.
- Gather and make clear what\’s needed for a project, turning them into simple instructions for the team.
- Work with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to keep track of what the team will work on.
- Help with testing the product to make sure it works for users.
- Encourage the use of Agile business analysis methods to deliver useful things quickly to users and clients.
- Give advice and support to colleagues and other members of the flexible project team.
- Share good ideas and ways of working with other Business Analysts at Hippo.
- Be willing to travel occasionally to meet clients for projects.

Data
- You can help with data management activities by using your knowledge of things like GDPR and information security
- You can analyse data to describe what\’s happening and why, and explain how it helps decisions
- You can help plan data collection activities and coordinate efforts
- You can create simple data models to help develop requirements and design solutions
Analytical thinking & requirements management
- You can analyse information from different sources to find meaning and suggest actions
- You help figure out what\’s needed for a project, using different methods. You can choose the best method to use.
- You help make sure the team has a clear understanding of what needs to be done
Modelling Methods and Techniques
- You can use different visual methods to show how things work
- You identify and measure ways to improve business processes or spot problems
Working with Clients
- You research and understand what\’s important to clients and use this to suggest what we should offer them
- You can find common ground with other team members to work well together.
- You build on your relationships with clients to find out what challenges they need to overcome.
- You understand the goals of Hippo, our clients, and the projects you\’re working on.
