About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safe and Strong Communities team, to support the delivery of our ambitions to be a community powered organisation. You will work with colleagues to plan, co-ordinate and monitor the design and implementation of the community power delivery plan, taking a community focused approach in your work.

Who we are looking for…

  • We are looking for a project support officer with experience of providing business support, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in sensitive environments.
  • The successful candidate will have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise their workload as part of the wider team.
  • We are looking for someone with knowledge of community development, community power and local authority governance.
  • Who is committed to improving services and supporting the ambitions of the organisation to become a community powered council.
  • Who is able to create and develop effective working relationships across a range of partners and stakeholders.
  • With experience of using formal project management methodology, including the ability to analyse and present information.
