We’re working with a growing, design-led B2B services provider that partners with clients across the residential property and development sector — including build-to-rent, co-living, social housing and private development portfolios. As part of their expansion, they are looking to appoint a Head of Bid Management to lead and scale their national bid function. This is a fantastic opportunity to own and shape a high-impact area of the business, working on diverse and often high-value commercial bids across both public and private sectors.
The Opportunity
You’ll take the lead on the full bid lifecycle — from identifying relevant opportunities through to shaping strategy, coordinating cross-functional input, and submitting compelling and compliant proposals. You’ll work closely with leadership, sales, design, legal, and operations teams, and drive best practice across the function to help improve win rates and commercial outcomes. This role will suit someone with strong bid leadership experience in a project-based, service or design-oriented environment — ideally one that serves property or development clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end bid process from initial scoping to submission
- Develop bid strategies tailored to target clients and frameworks
- Collaborate across departments to gather content and ensure consistency
- Produce high-quality, client-focused responses that reflect brand and value proposition
- Maintain and improve bid documentation, templates and tracking systems
- Work with commercial teams to ensure pricing aligns with client needs and profitability targets
- Analyse past performance and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Support legal and compliance checks throughout the bid process
- Oversee handovers to operational/delivery teams post-award
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading bids for complex or high-value projects
- Experience working on bids for real estate, design, services or project-based environments
- Strong track record in writing and managing successful public and private sector proposals
- Able to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, process-driven and confident influencing at senior level
- Knowledge of pricing strategy, negotiation and compliance considerations
- Previous experience using bid tools or CRM platforms is a plus
Why Apply?
- Strategic and visible role within a fast-growing business
- High degree of ownership and the opportunity to shape a maturing function
- Exposure to a broad range of clients in the real estate and development sectors
- Hybrid working with London Head Office (circa 3 days in office)
- Competitive salary and benefits package
