We’re partnering with a market-leading and rapidly growing PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) provider to hire a Senior Commercial Analyst. This is a high-impact role focused on driving commercial performance through data, insight, and strategic decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, commercially actionable insight, with genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and the ability to influence pricing, revenue, and cost strategy at scale.

The Role

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you’ll play a key role in elevating how the business uses data to shape strategy and improve performance. You’ll work across pricing, revenue optimisation, and OPEX, helping the business make smarter, more informed commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Insight & Analytics
    • Deliver high-quality, commercially relevant insights to support strategic decision-making
    • Enhance analytical frameworks, tools, and ways of working
    • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across performance data
  • Pricing, Revenue & Cost Analysis
    • Analyse data across pricing, revenue, customer behaviour, and OPEX
    • Support the development and refinement of pricing models and frameworks
    • Build robust cost models and support OPEX planning and evaluation
    • Develop datasets and models to support forecasting and performance tracking
  • Strategy & Commercial Impact
    • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
    • Support business cases, scenario modelling, and forecasting
    • Influence key decisions across commercial strategy
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with teams across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations
    • Present insights through clear storytelling, visualisation, and written reports

About You

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Analyst or Senior Analyst in a commercial or strategic environment
  • Strong understanding of pricing, revenue, margin, and OPEX analysis
  • Ability to turn complex data into clear, impactful insights
  • Confident communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills (Word & PowerPoint also required)
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Basic SQL skills are beneficial but not essential
