We’re partnering with one of the UK’s leading purpose-built student accommodation providers to recruit a General Manager for a site in Bristol. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine commercial drive with people leadership. From maximising occupancy and driving sales, to overseeing day-to-day operations and creating a community students love, you’ll be at the heart of both the commercial success and operational excellence of the site.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, inspire and develop your on-site team, setting high standards and ensuring first-class service delivery.
- Drive lettings and sales performance to achieve full occupancy and hit commercial targets.
- Take full ownership of operations: facilities, compliance, health & safety, supplier management, and maintaining a high-quality building environment.
- Manage budgets, P&L, and financial performance, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and control costs.
- Build and nurture partnerships with universities, local businesses, and community organisations to raise the profile of the scheme.
- Shape a thriving student community where residents feel safe, supported, and proud to live.
About you:
- Proven background in operations and people leadership, ideally in PBSA, residential property, hotels, or a similar service-driven sector.
- Strong commercial mindset - comfortable with lettings, sales & hitting financial targets.
