We are supporting a major infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's most nationally significant projects, to recruit a Recruitment Team Lead / Senior Recruiter. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a fast‑paced, high‑volume operational environment, where you will take ownership of recruitment delivery while leading a team of three internal recruiters. This is an urgent requirement, so we’re looking for someone to start ASAP!
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team of three internal recruiters
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from advertising to offer
- Delivering high‑volume and specialist hiring across multiple job families
- Partnering closely with hiring managers and site‑based stakeholders
- Screening, interviewing and coordinating candidates through to offer
- Supporting and attending assessment centres, job fairs and site recruitment activity
- Managing onboarding processes, including security vetting and compliance requirements
- Acting as an ATS super‑user, ensuring accurate data, reporting and audit readiness
- Driving improvements to recruitment processes, tools and workflows
- Maintaining accurate reporting and workforce visibility

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in internal recruitment / talent acquisition, ideally within high‑volume or operational environments
- Experience leading or supervising a team (or strong informal leadership experience)
- Ability to manage a fast‑paced, high‑volume recruitment pipeline independently
- Strong stakeholder management skills across operations and senior leadership
- Experience working within compliance‑heavy or regulated environments (e.g. construction, infrastructure, logistics, aviation, defence)
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and remain calm under pressure
- Strong ATS experience, with confidence operating at a super‑user level
- Working knowledge of UK employment law and recruitment best practice
- Proactive, confident and solutions‑focused approach
Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting site‑based or large‑scale project recruitment
- Exposure to blue‑collar or unionised workforces
- Experience delivering assessment centres or campaign hiring
Site & Working Conditions
- Hinkley Point C site (2‑4 days per week)
- Bridgwater office (1‑2 days per week)
- Home working (1 day per week, post‑probation)
- 9‑day fortnight working pattern (every other Friday off)
- Due to site requirements, you must be able to:
- Pass HPC vetting (3‑year employment history)
- Travel to Hinkley Point via organised transport (approx. 45 minutes)
