As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in one of the UK's largest and most complex engineering projects. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week and based at our Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset site.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning, preparation and execution of commissioning activities
- Ensuring systems and equipment are tested, validated and compliant with design specifications
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning
- Producing and reviewing commissioning documentation, procedures and records
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and quality standards
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in commissioning, testing or engineering delivery within a regulated industry
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and system integration
- Experience working within nuclear, defence, energy or similarly highly regulated environments
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (or relevant experience)
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution is desirable
- Must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role
About the Project
We are working as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance brings together contractors to deliver the mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning (MEH) cabling and support services across the power station’s network.
