We are recruiting an Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 engineering services contractor delivering works on Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer or Project Engineer looking to further their career within a highly regulated environment. Previous nuclear experience is not essential, and applications are welcomed from candidates working within construction, M&E, EPC, infrastructure, rail, defence, oil & gas, utilities, power generation and data centre projects.
The Role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of electrical engineering and installation projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate project activities and drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of electrical projects to safety, quality, programme and cost objectives.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling and reporting activities.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors.
- Review electrical designs, drawings and technical specifications.
- Monitor project progress and commercial performance.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Support site coordination and project delivery activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong electrical engineering and electrical installation knowledge.
- Experience delivering engineering, construction, M&E, EPC or infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Site Engineer or similar role.
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
