Responsibilities
- As an Analyst – Investment Management Business Development with Hines, you will be part of the global IM Business Development team, within the Hines Marketing and Communications team, supporting the global Investment Management platform.
- You will be part of a team providing support to the new business generation function within Investment Management, and will support Hines’ capital raising efforts within the pre‑commitment stage of investor engagement.
- Your responsibilities will focus on the Hines’ European and MENA organizational regions, and you will partner with other members of the IM Business Development team to provide the support necessary to market the firm’s products and platform through pitch and pursuit development and management.
- Act as a generalist within the team to flex between pitch and pursuit material development and management of existing materials.
- Contribute to the updating and maintenance of capital raising materials, in the form of teasers, pitch books, one‑pagers, case studies, and more.
- Educate yourself on Hines’ platform, strategies, and products; utilize this knowledge to create new content in the form of presentations and marketing materials.
- Provide strategic recommendations for materials aligned with the Fund’s mandate and priorities.
- Conduct market research within your assigned region in order to contribute to a more comprehensive competitive analysis and to communicate intelligence on competitive firms and products, as well as prospective investors.
- Understand the evolving market conditions and Hines’ convictions to contribute to business development efforts.
- Support team members in the management of pitch and pursuit calendar(s) and triage priority projects.
- Communicate and collaborate often with Compliance, Data & Analytics, Investor Marketing, Investor Relations, Investor Services, Fund Management, Capital Raisers, and other teams across the Hines organization.
- Embrace the use of technology, tools, and processes in order to co‑create best practices for the team, while remaining nimble and efficient in our support of global capital raising efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, with a degree in business administration, economics, marketing, real estate, or related discipline.
- 2+ years of related experience, particularly within institutional real estate, investment management, research, financial analysis, or consulting roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, can‑do, problem‑solver attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Strong collaboration skills, evidenced by a team‑player mindset.
- Evidence of high attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency with the MS product suite, including PowerPoint & Excel.
- Ability to analyze and interpret various types of data from a strategic point of view, in order to draw conclusions and solve problems.
- Experience with CRM systems and content management software is a plus.
- Willingness to quickly learn new software/technology platforms.
- Working indoors approximately 100% of the time.
