Salary: Β£31,022 up to Β£32,061 per annum pro rata including market supplement

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday
About the role
We currently have two vacancies for Category C driving positions within our Waste Management team. We are very proud of our in-house waste collection services and have just invested in a new fleet of refuse collection vehicles, with new food waste collection vehicles recently arriving.
What you will be doing
As the Waste Management Driver, you will be responsible for a small team collecting waste across our waste streams, such as food waste, refuse, dry recycling or garden waste, as part of the wider waste management services we provide.
About you
As the team leader, you will ensure tasks and paperwork are completed in a professional manner, that excellent customer service is provided to our residents and help ensure better management of our resources. You will also be supporting residents to recycle their waste effectively, enabling the council to meet Corporate Plan objectives.
Essential criteria
You must hold a minimum of Category C licence.
Be physically fit, able to walk long distances each day and move wheeled bins, sacks and any other waste containers.
Be committed individuals who are looking to provide high quality public services to our residents.
