Waste Management at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council is currently looking to expand its dedicated team of waste management professionals ahead of implementing a new Food Waste Collection Service from February next year. We are committed to providing excellent customer service for our front-line public priority services. We take pride in our frontline services and have invested this year in a brand new fleet of Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) with the delivery of our Food Waste vehicles planned for February next year.

To help achieve our objectives of delivering high quality front-line services, we are looking to recruit a customer-focussed person to work within our busy Waste Support Team. You will need to have effective communication skills and a focus on meeting customer needs in this busy public facing team.

Duties include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to our residents through effective administrative support to our Waste Collection operations
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Dealing with enquiries from customers, contractors, councillors and staff on the phone, face to face, by letter and via email
  • Liaison with Supervisors in respect of service requests
  • Liaison with the Councils Contact Centre to assist in resolving service specific enquiries
