Are you passionate about delivering technology driven change that has a real impact on people's lives? We're seeking a friendly, proactive and highly organised ICT Programme Manager to join our ICT Shared Service – playing a key role in shaping the Council's digital transformation journey.
In this exciting and varied role, you will lead the development and delivery of our ICT Programme, ensuring projects are well-designed, well-managed and aligned with the Council's strategic goals. From coordinating complex multi-supplier workstreams to championing innovation and best practice project management, you'll be at the heart of improving services for our communities.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing multiple ICT programmes and projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they stay on track for scope, budget and timelines.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective project outcomes.
- Overseeing risk management, budget monitoring, supplier coordination and programme governance.
- Promoting innovation by exploring new and emerging technologies that can support efficient and improved Council services.
- Ensuring smooth change management processes so new systems are adopted successfully and with minimal disruption.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive ICT programme management experience, ideally in the public sector.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and manage multiple priorities.
- A sound understanding of project management tools, risk methodologies and key ICT technologies (cloud, networking, security, end user devices).
- A PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM Practitioner qualification.
