About the Role
Hims & Hers is building a global healthcare platform, and we're looking for a VP, Strategic Operations to help power our growth across the UK and Europe.
This senior leadership role will head a team responsible for the strategy and operational work behind all new initiatives across the UK and EU region, whether that's entering a new market, launching a new category or capability, or standing up a strategic partnership.
You and your team will take complex operational problems from idea through launch, bringing together the teams, infrastructure, partnerships, and regulatory pathways required to make them real.
You'll work across our global and in-market teams to determine what each opportunity requires, where we can leverage existing capabilities, and where we need to build something new.
You'll also own the operational relationships with strategic third-party partners across the region, including pharmacies, labs, and other providers.
This is a role for someone who loves building.
You'll need to move comfortably between strategy and execution, bring structure to ambiguity, and drive complex work across teams from idea to reality.
You Will
- Lead the Strategic Operations function across the UK and Europe, building the operational capabilities required to support new markets, categories, partnerships, and other growth initiatives.
- Take new operational capabilities from feasibility through design, build, launch, and stabilization.
- Develop launch and operational strategies based on business growth priorities, and translate them into executable operating plans across pharmacy, fulfillment, diagnostics, manufacturing, supply chain, and other operational capabilities.
- Determine where we can leverage Hims & Hers' global operating model and where local regulations, infrastructure, partners, or customer needs require a different approach.
- Partner with International leadership to assess the operational feasibility, complexity, investment, and sequencing of new growth opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional execution across Operations, Product, Technology, Legal, Regulatory, Quality, Clinical, and other teams, driving decisions and creating clear ownership along the way.
- Own the operational relationships with strategic third-party pharmacies, labs, providers, and other partners across the UK and Europe.
- Evaluate build, buy, and partner decisions and stand up the right operating solutions for each opportunity.
- Transition mature, owned operations to the appropriate functional or in-market operator once they are stable, while retaining ownership of strategic third-party operating partnerships.
- Build repeatable approaches that allow us to launch and scale new markets, capabilities, and partnerships faster over time.
- Build and lead a high-performing Strategic Operations team as our business across the UK and Europe continues to grow.
You Have
- 15+ years of experience in operations, strategy, international expansion, or another complex operating environment, including significant leadership experience.
- Experience in a regulated operating environment. Pharmacy, healthcare, digital health, or diagnostics is strongly preferred.
- A track record of building something new from the ground up, whether that's a market, category, facility, partnership, product, or operational capability.
- Experience operating across the UK and/or Europe and navigating differences in regulation, infrastructure, partners, and ways of working across markets.
- Strong business and operational judgment, with the ability to understand complex problems, identify the decisions that matter, and bring a clear point of view.
- The ability to move between strategy and execution, from designing an operating model to getting into the details required to make it work.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills and a track record of driving outcomes across teams you don't directly manage.
- Experience building and managing complex external partnerships.
- A track record of creating structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- German, French, and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, including across the UK, Europe, and the United States.
We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging.
