About The Role

The Director of Operations/General Manager will be based in London, UK and will report into the VP of International Operations. The General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of both our Pharmacy and Fulfillment Operations as well as the long-term scalability of the London location to support our growing business needs. Most personnel in the facility will roll up under the purview of the General Manager. This role will also be responsible for partnering and cross-functionally leading network support staff for all investments, functionality enhancements, and business changes that are relevant to the London operation, staff, and facility.

You Will

  • The General Manager will have full responsibility for the P&L performance of the London operation and facility, specifically both variable and fixed costs.
  • Responsible for all staff, personnel interactions, and overall facility culture within the London facility.
  • Responsible for hiring and developing all operational staff that will scale the facility and talent to support our business growth and initiatives.
  • Ensure the facility operates at budget, meets daily customer demand, is a safe environment, and operates with high quality standards.
  • Responsible for a successful Pharmacy, Fulfillment, and Compounding operation.
  • Involved in scaling both process flows and technology needs that allow the London facility to meet or exceed the short-term and long-term requirements from the business.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Pharmacy Fulfilment, VP of Pharmacy Enablement, VP of Growth, Director of Customer Success, and relevant technical partners.
  • Provide guidance and strategy to the VP of International Operations.
  • Institute a continuous improvement environment through partnership with staff and support teams and by implementing methodologies such as Kaizen, Gemba and Six Sigma.
  • Responsible for escalating critical business needs and risk through the organizational chain.
  • Drive and nurture a culture of collaboration, professionalism and resourcefulness at the London operation.

You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in operations, supply chain, or a relevant field required, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in leading and operating production, fulfillment, strategy, and personnel management in a fast-paced mail-order pharmacy or Retail Ecommerce environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fluid and ambiguous environment while managing fluctuating priorities.
  • Experience in managing Capital Investments of £20M+ annualized.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and drive internal & external decisions.
  • Experience in leading staff at a size greater than 50 employees.
