The Caledonian Edinburgh is seeking a Bartender to join our distinguished team. Set in the heart of Scotland's capital, our hotel is synonymous with timeless elegance, refined hospitality, and unforgettable guest experiences.
The Person:
- A polished and engaging hospitality professional with a passion for luxury service
- Confident communicator with a warm, guest-focused approach
- Detail-driven with strong presentation and service standards
- Calm, adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced bar environment
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends & varying shifts.
The Role:
- Deliver refined, memorable bar experiences from day to evening service
- Uphold the hotel luxury standards across all beverage operations
- Create a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for every guest
- Showcase strong knowledge of premium spirits, cocktails and wines
- Contribute creativity and flair to drink presentation and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve drinks to exceptional quality and brand standards
- Provide personalised beverage recommendations and attentive service
- Maintain immaculate bar presentation, stock levels and equipment
- Upsell premium products through confident product knowledge
- Work collaboratively with the wider Food and Beverage team to ensure seamless service.

*About Service Charge & Gratuities
As part of our commitment to recognising and rewarding our team, gratuities (tips) and service charge are shared on a pro-rata basis across our Food & Beverage divisions, regardless of role. The service charge is an additional charge applied to hotel services within our Food & Beverage outlets and is passed directly to eligible team members in specific roles.
Based on current estimates, in 2026 our full-time employees can expect to receive approximately £2,640.00* per year in addition to their annual salary through gratuities and service charge.
