Established in 1980, Omni Facilities Management is a leading provider of outsourced services to over 150 hotels across the UK, Netherlands, and South Africa. Employing over 4,000 people, Omni provides Housekeeping, Recruitment, Property and Software Services to major hotel groups including InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Hilton, Marriott, Redefine BDL Hotels, Raffles, Shangri-La, Ritz-Carlton and Resorts World.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated candidates for the position of Kitchen Porter who will be responsible for assisting the Senior Steward / Chef in the correct running of the kitchen.

Shift Pattern: Up to 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Sunday (24/7 Operation) Desired profile:
- Experienced in the Kitchen Department as a kitchen porter/assistant
- Willingness to work
- Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational skills
- Confident, professional, and welcoming personality
- Ability to carry out manual tasks
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Hardworking, honest, and reliable
- Polite and helpful manner when dealing with guests and team members
- Assure a high standard of personal hygiene, with special attention to uniform
- Ensure a clear understanding and observance of fire and emergency procedures
Duties include:
- To ensure a continuous supply of plates and polished cutlery is always available if required
- Requisition of necessary store items, liaising with the Chief Steward for authorisation
- Ensure salt and pepper shakers are clean and filled daily and lids are replaced as necessary if required
- Sweeping and mopping of the floor between all meal and break times
- Cleaning the tables during and after service if required
- Emptying bins, bottle bins and ensuring that all areas of responsibility are always clean and tidy
- Cleaning of the service counter, emptying, and cleaning Bain Marie
- Daily cleaning of all surfaces behind service counter, milk machine, cutlery trays and trolleys
- Relay any complaints or comments to the Chief Steward and Head Chef
WEEKLY CLEANING DUTIES:
- Cleaning inside of fridges
- Defrosting and cleaning the freezer
- Cleaning of all walls
- Reporting any equipment faults to the chief steward
- All other duties you may be required to perform in stewarding as directed by the Chief Steward and Chefs
