A Regional (Divisional) Groups, Conference, and Events Sales Manager will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. This role is working & supporting Hotels in the London region through a mixture of working both within hotels or Cluster Commercial Offices.
Position Summary:
This role will support the London hotels by providing support on site as requested by Commercial Directors in a variety of different Commercial Roles. This role will also be required to conduct training to on-property team members, help with department and system inductions and work with the Delphi Champions across the region to align standards and best practices.
In addition:
- Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue.
- Champion/Support the London KIITF process. (referrals)
- Manage an events schedule to maximise yield.
- Focus on a consistently executed up selling approach.
- Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs.
- Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds.
- Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events.
- Participate in hotel promotional activities.
- Act as Delphi Champion for the region working with other hotel Delphi champions.
- Research & Pro-active GCE activities or projects to support the region.
Required qualifications/experience, knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:
- Strong Knowledge of GCE Systems and Processes e.g. Delphi, ONQ, BDRC standards
- Years of related experience: 3 to 5 years
- Years of management or supervisory experience: 2+ years
- Travel around the region is expected
