Responsibilities

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO DURING A TYPICAL DAY: The Connections Rainmaker is the driving force behind new commercial opportunities at Hart Shoreditch, a natural networker who opens doors, builds strong relationships and turns connections into revenue. The role is focused on creating business across Rooms, Events, F&B and Marketing, from the local market through to international opportunities.

Working closely with the Commercial Director and wider commercial team, the Connections Rainmaker will be out in the market creating conversations, spotting opportunities, making things happen, and converting relationships into new, repeat and incremental business while growing revenue, market share and the hotel’s profile.

CORE FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive revenue opportunities across Groups & Events, Restaurant & Bar, Business Travel, Consortia and other key market segments.
  • Proactively generate new business through sales calls, networking, client meetings, trade shows, business trips, sales missions and industry events both domestically and internationally.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, agencies and local businesses to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Maximise sales leads, conversion, repeat and future business on all relevant segments.
  • Organise and host show rounds, client entertainment and fam trips to support prospecting, conversion and account development.
  • Work closely with Marketing & Partnerships team to develop local collaborations, partnerships and initiatives that generate incremental revenue and strengthen the hotel’s brand.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, customer behaviour, demand patterns and emerging business opportunities to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting and business intelligence on sales activity, pipeline, leads, conversion, account performance, market trends, competitor movements and ROI across sales activities.
  • Prepare monthly business reviews and maintain accurate sales reporting.

  • Knowledge of hotel sales, revenue generation and business development, ideally across Groups & Events, Food & Drink, Business Travel.
  • Good understanding of local, domestic and international markets, customer segments and competitive landscape.
  • Understanding of sales pipelines, conversion, account management, market trends and commercial performance.
  • Knowledge of relevant sales, marketing and networking channels such as event agencies, corporate contacts, travel/industry partners.
  • Previous experiences in hotel sales, restaurant, venue sales, booking office.

Work hours will be based on business needs, including evenings and weekends as required.
