Based in Christchurch (Hillsborough), we currently have a great 6-month fixed-term opportunity for a superstar Operations Administrator to join our outstanding Ops team responsible for the smooth running of our Christchurch warehousing and storage facility. This is a critical role for us, providing additional business as usual administration capacity whilst assisting the team to balance a wide range of administrative tasks along with a number of system and process enhancement projects.
Day-to-day tasks will include:
- Document processing and data entry - checking import export documentation for references, price and completing all jobs ready for invoicing - utilising appropriate software.
- Direct liaison with customers – taking full job details, entering information into various Warehouse Management Systems and transport management systems (ICOS) and escalating to the Warehouse Team and Operations Manager - Storage when required.
- Ensuring that all internal systems are operating effectively.
- Ensuring polite and effective communication with all customers (both external and internal) to achieve maximum results.
- Participating in the Health and Safety management of all employees regarding Hilton Haulage Transport Ltd Health and Safety handbook.
- Having fun!
Skills and experience:
- At least 2-5 years’ experience working in an operational administration, accounts administration or supply chain systems administrator capacity.
- Working knowledge of WMS/ICOS/ApEcert and any MPI Knowledge in Dairy would be highly regarded - but is not essential as training can be given.
- Experience going above and beyond for customers.
- A proactive and team-focused approach.
- The ability to pick up new technology.
