Are you looking for a unique and exciting opportunity in the hospitality industry? We are seeking a Grounds Person to join our team at Woodford Bridge Country Club. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, you will undertake on a daily basis external maintenance duties as directed to property, grounds and access ways at the Resort to the standard required both by the Company and Law. Assisting in refurbishment work undertaken on the Resort on a shift rota covering the full opening hours of the Resort, including evening and weekend working.
The main duties will include:
- To maintain the grounds, gardens, paths, driveways, voids and external perimeters to the standard required
- To undertake external cleaning and maintenance as directed to Resort properties including the communal and store areas and to provide a full refuse service to the Resort and properties
- To assist in refurbishment works being undertaken on the Resort
- To undertake as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Management any maintenance duties in the communal buildings or grounds on the Resort
- To keep all equipment and tools issued for use by the company in a clean, maintained and serviceable condition and secure at the end of each shift
- To provide cover for any other Resort staff as and when required to assist with the day to day running of the Resort
- To ensure that a high quality of service is maintained at all times that meets with customer and company expectations
- To take part in the Resort’s training programme when required
Skills and experience required to fulfil the role include:
- The ability to take ownership of customer problems
- Developed communication skills, able to express self clearly and listen fully to others
- Health and safety experience - Level one minimum
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Have a ‘can do’ and positive approach
The role requires the successful candidates to work five days over seven, 40 hours per week, including evening and weekend work on a shift/rota basis!
