We are looking for a temporary Night Porter to join our team during the busy summer and autumn period. As a Night Porter, you will ensure the security and cleanliness of the public areas of the Resort.
Responsibilities
- Fire walk – recording 28 point check throughout main building. Confirm external fire walk ways and doors are free from obstructions.
- Snow clearing and salting around main house to include pathways and fire exits.
- Maintaining security of premise overnight.
- BOH – Office Cleaning, rubbish/recycling removal, vacuuming and dusting.
- FOH – Cleaning tasks to include wooden floor buffing in restaurant, bar, reception and Oak Room, dusting, vacuuming, upholstery spotting. Night time cleaning of public areas to include launderette, toilets, interior of lifts.
- Setting up and decommissioning of Meeting Room.
- Assist in F&B during busy periods.
- Being thoroughly familiar with fire evacuation procedures and Fire Team Cover during shift.
- Report any defects, damage, or hazards in the working environment through Synergy.
As a night porter, you will interact with guest requests and comments incurred, and react appropriately. You will ensure that a high standard of service is delivered in a friendly and personalized manner, through Kipsu and verbally. A night porter should be knowledgeable of the working of appliances in Lodges and Suites. All duties must be carried out in a safe manner having regard to the health and safety and welfare of self, other team members, guests and other persons on the premises.
