What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Process Operatives to ensure all products are assembled correctly, to product specification, at the required food safety standard, and line speeds.
To assist the Team Leader, and production team to achieve operational targets and plans.
Works collaboratively with other functions, taking a hand’s on approach, and providing support, where required, outside core functional responsibilities.
Key responsibilities as a Process Operative/Production Operative will be to:
– To be flexible in working, as there is a requirement to work in various line positions, and areas of the factory. Tasks will be of the following nature: placement, filling and assembly of items, assembly of packaging, movement and collection of items.
– To ensure full conformance to all safety rules, and all practices comply with Health and Safety policies and training.
– To ensure the product is handled correctly, and efficiently, ensuring the visual standard of the product is achieved, including distribution, and that correct quantities conform to line specifications.
– To ensure that the targets for the line are met, specifically safety, quality, service and cost.
– To ensure the work area is kept clean, tidy and conforms technically at all times.
– To ensure legal requirements of all material’s, and processes are maintained, to produce safe food. To deliver the quality line standards, and so deliver customer satisfaction.
– To check, as required the environment for issues. Report all defects, both on safety, and quality immediately to the Team Leader.
– Communicate all ideas for improvements.
– To communicate, and act upon instruction from the Team Leader, or other management, including their deputies.
– To treat and promote company property, including equipment, with required care and attention. Elimination of careless damage
– Adhere to TR077 at all times
Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Process Operative/Production Operative will include:
– Safety awareness
– Food safety awareness
– Awareness of operational costs
– Awareness of customer and technical requirements
– Checking quality
– Operates with fairness and consistency
– Self-development. Takes responsibility for own development.
– Communicates openly, giving information and listening to others.
– Drive to get the job done, works enthusiastically and tenaciously to achieve goals.
