What We’re Looking For
An experienced Operations Manager to own end-to-end operational activity for our seafood site, driving efficiency across all operational workstreams whilst supporting site and group financial goals. You’ll manage all site Operations and Despatch functions, acting as the interface between Hilton Seafood, Hilton Group and customers, implementing strategies that promote efficiency improvements, stock holding, right first time delivery, service levels and lean culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regular service data, putting customers at the heart of operations
- Lead business culture and employee engagement across operational functions
- Provide schedules and strategies maximising production efficiency, labour utilisation and minimising waste
- Ensure accurate stock counts and clear VSM on all processes
- Manage operational paperwork, transactions and team development (PDRs, 1-1s, meetings)
- Maintain effective communication between operations, SMT and external stakeholders
- Review operational functions to support changing strategies and identify cost reductions
- Drive continuous improvement culture and analyse KPIs to achieve ‘Best in Class’
- Lead Health and Safety best practices across the business
Required Experience
- Degree level (ideally Food Science or Business Management)
- Knowledge of world-class improvement techniques and previous manufacturing experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement, project leadership and management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability with proven cost-effective solution delivery
- Kaizen and cost‑saving awareness
- Confident presentation skills for internal and external audiences
