Based in Huntingdon (2 days a week/ remote hybrid), the Genesis Transformation Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial and operational insights, metrics, and reporting across the global transformation program (Genesis). The role will report and support the Group FP&A Manager by providing granular analysis and reporting of the various profit improvement projects across the Group and partner with stakeholders to drive accurate accounting and financial forecasts of the financial benefits. Additionally, the role will be instrumental in the coordination, budgeting, and forecasting of other Genesis Opex and Capex initiatives including the rollout of a new global financial reporting system. This role is offered as a 12 month FTC.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Key customer finance partner for customer queries, and reporting of agreed business improvement activities and financial results each month.
- Commercial support and analysis of new project business case proposals, capital expenditure requests (including considering the commercial and operational implications of each initiative); Support budgeting and forecasting processes with robust data and analysis.
- Ongoing reporting of cost saving and profit improvement projects vs plan.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with regional and functional teams to understand the financial performance of the transformation initiatives in each operating company, the financial outlook and support decision-making with clear and accurate metrics.
- Present financial insights in a clear, concise manner to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Major projects accounting and reporting support
Finance Transformation & Systems
- Act as a key contributor to finance transformation projects, ensuring alignment with Genesis transformation objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline Genesis project reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Participate in requirements gathering, UAT execution and documentation, and go-live support for new reporting systems, tools, and data integrations.
- Support the definition and implementation of global data standards, master data governance, and common reporting definitions across OpCos.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of data models, reporting datasets, and system controls supporting Genesis KPIs and benchmarking metrics.
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering within a complex multi-site environment.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Ability to develop robust Financial reporting & Analysis based on disparate and non-standard data sources globally.
- Strong understanding of the general ledger and financial accounting concepts.
- Advanced Excel and data visualisation skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) desirable.
- Excellent report writing skills, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications Needed
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred but not essential.
