Overview
Data Analyst – Procurement
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Analyst to provide data standardisation for a new data management solution. This role bridges business and technical teams, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and usability across systems and processes.
Key Accountabilities
System Deployment Support
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define data requirements for Procurement applications across a complex system landscape
- Assist in data migration activities: mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Analyse legacy data sources and support the data transformation into compatible formats
- Participate in testing cycles (e.g., UAT) to validate data accuracy and system behaviour
- Define and implement data standards, policies and procedures
Master Data Development
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a centralised master data strategy
- Define and document data standards, taxonomies, and governance rules
- Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and pain points
- Translate business requirements into data models and feed into the reporting workstream for supporting the development of reports and dashboards
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making
Key Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst
- Working with IT, Business teams and 3rd party vendors
- In depth understanding of SAP and Microsoft Dynamics or other similar solutions
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data profiling and cleansing tools
- Understanding of master data concepts and data governance frameworks
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data visualisation tools
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
