Develop and grow sales performance in imported chilled and frozen Beef & Lamb categories. Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers whilst expanding into new markets and supply chains. Collaborate across Operations, Technical, Category, Planning and Commercial teams, leading customer and supplier meetings, presentations and visits within a global PLC environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage customer and supplier relationships to drive category development and sales growth.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans with customers and suppliers.
  • Lead NPD and product development aligned with consumer trends and market needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and internal commercial teams to inform strategy and support account development.
  • Develop and execute new supply chains where required.
  • Oversee account administration including budgeting, forecasting, costing and system updates.
  • Provide analytics and reporting to monitor performance and recommend action plans.

Required Experience / Expertise

  • Strong commercial management experience with proven customer and supplier management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing new business and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in account management tools, business accounting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Knowledge of imported chilled and frozen global Beef and Lamb markets (Australian, New Zealand, South American).
  • Understanding of UK market sectors (Manufacturing, Wholesale, Retail, Foodservice).
  • Ability to identify market trends, analyse data and spot opportunities/risks.
  • Team leadership capability fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel globally, full driving licence required.
