About The Role: You will gain a strong understanding of key engineering principles, including how refrigeration systems are designed, installed, maintained, and repaired. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll build practical skills while learning to follow strict health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times. This role is designed to help you grow your technical knowledge, problem‑solving ability, and confidence, while studying towards your Level 3 apprenticeship qualification and building the foundations for a long‑term career in engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Attend college and complete all set training in a timely fashion and to the correct pass rate.
- Shadow site engineering mentor and follow instructions for onsite learning.
- Follow all health and safety and site rules.
- Have good time and attendance.
Apprenticeship Information: This role includes the Level 3 Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Engineering Technician apprenticeship. It is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in engineering, with ongoing learning and development opportunities throughout the programme.
Qualifications: Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Training Commitment: Training will be delivered through block release with West Nottinghamshire College. This will involve travelling to Nottingham and staying away from home for short periods, typically 3–5 nights at a time. All travel, accommodation, and associated expenses will be fully covered.
