What We Are Looking For: We are looking for a professional and experienced Payroll Advisor to control the payroll function for the site, providing an accurate, swift and confidential payroll process whereby all employees are paid on time correctly.
Key Responsibilities as a Payroll Advisor will be to:
- Ensure accurate and timely in-house payroll support in accordance with statutory regulations.
- Ensure all hours are allocated to correct labour costing and employees are working within their correct work pattern on a daily basis.
- Check and send accurate and up-to-date real-time information to the HMRC weekly.
- Assist in the administration of company pension and employee benefits.
- Ensure all sickness absence is updated and paid in accordance with Company sick scheme and statutory regulations.
- Check holiday allowances against submitted holiday forms ensuring they have been authorised by the appropriate manager and ensure all holiday requests are recorded and inputted.
- Follow up on daily absences ensuring that the company sick pay is applied in line with the policy.
- Carry out the full process to create the payroll each week using the payroll, time and attendance database and the spreadsheet ensuring all reports are printed off and checked for any inconsistencies or errors before processing the BACS.
- Run and distribute the payroll reports.
- Ensure BACS is run correctly and accurately and all aspects of payroll are appropriately authorised.
- Run weekly paid pay slips and ensure effective distribution.
- Answer all employee payroll queries.
- Input and update all new joiners and leavers onto all payroll systems and HR databases.
- Issue fobs for new starters.
- Complete HMRC documents for new joiners and leavers ready for RTI submission.
- Provide holiday cover for the Payroll Advisor at the other site.
