Role Title: Head of NPD Salary: Competitive Location: Estate Road Grimsby Hilton Seafoods is looking for a Head of NPD to effectively steer the site development team to deliver focused products which meet agreed critical paths, for all chosen retail partners. To ensure alignment to the strategic direction by driving pace, change and world class working practices, which ensure Hilton are the development partner of choice. To contribute to central Hilton teams work streams as and when required. To oversee the effective use of KPI’s to monitor each team member. As a Head of NPD some of the responsibilities will be: Liaison with Insight Manager, Creative chef and relevant commercial manager to establish the product portfolio for each development season. The Senior contact for customer product developers – whilst not necessarily attending reviews/ submissions, be known to offer insight and a holistic approach to dealing with all matters. NPD lead for quarterly review meetings with retail partners. Communicate NPD Briefs from customers to wider business, set up and manage projects from ATP document onto Feasibility documents. To provide timely information to the Product Development and Innovation Director (PDID), for retailer meetings and presentations. Provide information to PDID to enable budget to be built and review against budget on a quarterly basis. Establish the world class status for development of all concepts, backed up by robust systems and procedures that are the lifeblood of the wider team. To offer to all members of the development team when required, direction, support, mentoring, gravitas and demonstrate a strong belief in the team’s collective ability. Ensure that the development team has capacity and capability for project briefs, monitor resource levels and proactively ensure succession planning opportunities are provided. Steer Stage and Gate (critical path management) meetings weekly. Chair cross functional weekly NPD Mtgs. Document actions and progress. Gather data for Post Launch Evaluation 12 weeks after launch Development of the NPD managers. To have an input into the development of Technologists and Product developers.
