Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of a coldstore team within the Production Area.
- Efficiencies: Through the S.I.C process, record and escalate any issues to the Team Manager and carry out actions that have been agreed in order to correct any losses.
- Giveaways: Review product giveaways and escalate any issues affecting giveaways to the Team Manager.
- Waste: Support the investigation/actioning of any non-conforming processes/products to reduce waste and ensure that Batch Yield is on target.
- Labour costs: Be aware of the labour cost of the designated production line/team and support the Team Manager in efforts to improve this labour cost.
- Customer Complaints: Actions deviations from quality or escalates to minimise the risk of customer complaints.
- Carry out CCPs and other technical checks as required for the smooth and efficient running of the line; escalate issues regarding CCPs to the Team Manager and QA team.
- Escalation of any issue’s product quality to the Team Manager.
- Ensure full traceability is achieved for every batch through accurate recording of paperwork.
- Escalation of issues at the DRM 1 meeting or other forums requiring support to address.
- Actively involved in all aspects of continuous improvement.
- Assist the Team Manager in progressing the team’s development needs through cross-training and continuous assessment of training needs.
- Communicate with the Training Team to advise of any training requirements.
- Ensure effective lines of communication between the Production Line/Team and the Team Manager; liaise with the Team Manager on personnel issues and staffing requirements.
- Monitor staff performance and escalate any poor/under performance.
- Conduct daily pre-start up checks.
