  • Close audits in a timely manner and trend weekly/monthly results.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day running of the hygiene shift to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time, enabling a smooth handover to operations.
  • Apply microbiological knowledge to interpret out‑of‑spec environmental and Listeria swab results, conduct routine or in‑depth investigations, and use root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure hygiene documentation and supporting data are in place on the 'Gateway' system, accurately populated and easily retrievable.
  • Deliver training and mentoring to team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills, knowledge, tools, and understanding to complete their roles, and develop a training plan that supports long‑term growth and continuous improvement.
  • Assist hygiene management in the risk assessment process for any new equipment, ensuring delivery of required training and training support with clear CICs.
  • Build high‑quality working relationships with all departments and at all levels to ensure hygiene operates efficiently and effectively with minimal disruption to production operations, meeting customer demands in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate closely with the chemical supplier on site audits, ensuring recommendations are implemented.
