Role: Coldstore Team Leader β Laforey Road, Grimsby β Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00
What we are looking for
We are looking for a professional and experienced Coldstore Team Leader to join our growing Production team. As a Coldstore Team Leader you will oversee daily operations of a designated Coldstore team within the Production Area.
Key responsibilities
- Through the S.I.C process, record and escalate any issues to the Team Manager and carry out agreed actions to correct any losses.
- Review product giveaways and escalate issues affecting giveaways to the Team Manager.
- Investigate and action any non-conforming processes/products to reduce waste and ensure Batch Yield on target.
- Monitor labour cost of the designated production line/team and support the Team Manager to improve labour cost.
- Act on customer complaints: deviations from quality should be actioned/escalated to minimise risk of complaints.
- Carry out CCPs and other technical checks as required; highlight any issues regarding CCPs immediately to Team Manager and QA team.
- Escalate product quality issues to the Team Manager; ensure full traceability for every batch through accurate paperwork.
- Present issues at the DRM 1 meeting or other forums requiring support.
- Actively involved in continuous improvement.
- Assist Team Manager in progressing the team's development needs through cross training and training needs assessment.
- Communicate with Training Team to advise of training requirements.
- Ensure effective communication lines between production line/team and Team Manager.
- Liaise with Team Manager on personnel issues and staffing requirements.
- Monitor staff performance and escalation of under-performance.
- Encourage a positive, engaging teamwork culture.
Required experience / expertise
- Previous food production experience.
- Interpret data (screen display).
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible.
