Role title: Technical Artwork &Specification Specialist Location: Estate Road, Grimsby Shift: Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00 Salary: Competitive

Purpose of the role:

To ensure that thebusiness meets its own, customer and legal requirements, through accurate,approved and agreed specifications To ensure that thebusiness maintains customer and internal stakeholder satisfaction throughprompt and accurate specification completion.

As a Technical Artwork & SpecificationSpecialist some of the responsibilities will beto:

  • - Support in the generation and maintenance of Manufacturing specifications ensuring they are accurately aligned to the Finished product (customer) specification.
  • - Creation and maintenance of accurate customer specifications on the relevant customer platforms.
  • - Work closely with the concept, process and technical teams to gather, interpret and check relevant information through specification and artwork development
  • - Generation of right first-time specifications that drive right first-time artwork
  • - Responsible for ensuring all new and existing product specifications and artwork are in line with relevant policy, legislation and customer guidelines.
  • - Creation of accurate and fully populated own brand specifications and pack copies
  • - Cross checking new internal factory specifications provided by the NPD department and subsequent maintenance of live factory specifications
  • - Overview of the Raw material, factory, QAS and finished product specifications to ensure that the information within them is accurate, correctly translated and aligned across them.
  • - Preparation of routine internal and customer reports as required relating to specifications.
  • Part of the artwork sign off team
  • - Maintenance of a specification tracker, visible to the Technical team, that lists at which stage each specification is sitting and when it is due for a review
  • - To provide cover as required for other members of the Technical administration team across the business to cover absence or workload.
  • - Management of raw material, finished product and packaging specifications; labels; printed packaging; artwork; legal compliance
  • - Create finished product specifications; review and approve artwork; meet critical paths; retail customer liaison
  • - Complete finished product specifications for retailers and manage systems/processes used to generate finished product packaging
  • - Submit packaging artwork and associated MSC claims for formal approval

To succeed as a Technical Artwork &Specification Specialist, we ask that you have the followingexperience/expertise:

  • - Experience with retailer specification systems (TQC, WPP advantageous)
  • - Knowledge of Stage and Gate or similar gated process steps
  • - General understanding of factory processes and documentation
  • - Ability to prioritise a ‘changing’ workload
  • - Excellent IT and communication skills
  • - Attention to detail
  • - Strong numeracy and literacy
  • - Methodical approach
  • - Highly organised
  • - Ability to work to deadlines with a key understanding of critical path processes
  • - Food safety awareness
  • - Experience with dealing with customers – internal and external
  • - Consistent approach to work
  • - Clear communication skills
  • - Tenacious
  • - Works well as an individual and within a larger team
  • - Understands the internal and external customer, interprets their needs and provides excellent customer service.
