What this role entails:

  • Supporting R&D and Engineering routine activities, e.g. cell culture, bioprocess set-up, analysis and data collection.
  • Seed train cell expansion for bioreactor operations.
  • Making bulk media batches.
  • Perform downstream molecular biology analysis.
  • Collaborate across teams and assist in various company activities to accelerate R&D and engineering workplans.
  • Act as a key source of knowledge and support for specific equipment.
  • Work closely with scientists and engineers to maintain a professional, clean, and safe working environment.

Objectives:

  • Support bioreactor experiments by delivering cells, media, bioprocess set-up, data collection and analysis.
  • Maintain or modify equipment to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the running and maintain the labs to a high standard.

Selection criteria

  • Experience: No specific requirements.
  • Delivering for an organisation: Takes personal ownership and acts to ensure delivery of excellent work against agreed standards and safety requirements.
  • Team working: Demonstrable ability to work with a diverse range of people, working towards a common goal in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Expertise: Biological sciences degree.

The successful candidate will be expected to work weekend days (approximately 1-2 weekend days per month) for which time off in lieu will be granted.
