We are seeking to employ a proactive and enthusiastic Technical Building Performance Engineer to join our expanding team in London. As an experienced professional who ideally holds professional accreditation or is actively pursuing it, you will bring an extensive portfolio demonstrating your expertise and capabilities. You will deliver your design services within a diverse and challenging range of design projects. Your project range will vary, demonstrating experience across a range of different scales, complexity, sectors, and geographies.

Our Operational Buildings team optimise our clients’ buildings to be consistently desirable to tenants. And the key to this is maximising flexibility and occupant comfort.

Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Support our clients in delivering all aspects of portfolio management, from MEP engineering services operation, from maintenance and plant replacement to building refit and refurbishment.
  • Handover to delivery of Net Zero Carbon strategies, life-cycle plans, upgrade projects, energy efficiency advice and independent technical support.
  • Conduct Mechanical & Electrical Services Maintenance audits.
  • Preparation of site visit risk assessments.
  • Prepare condition and feasibility reports in an organised and structured manner.
  • Attending/Chairing review meetings with contractor and client.
  • Conduct Surveys.
  • Lifecycle plans.
  • Providing technical support to clients.
  • Procurement of maintenance contracts.
  • License to alter reviews.
  • TM44 Inspections.

Background & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of BTEC or above in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • Experience in a Mechanical & Electrical portfolio management role for a design consultancy or real estate client.
  • Experience in Mechanical & Electrical service provider (M and E), Ex Armed Forces or Consultancy.
  • Experience in energy and carbon consultancy.

Skills:

  • Proficient with solid communication skills, including presentation skills for internal and external meetings.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in required software.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems efficiently.
  • Effectively manages time and priorities.
  • Ensures that information presented to your key contacts within your team meets an appropriate standard and is within the allocated timeframe.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders through professional communication and responsiveness.
