We are recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a global manufacturing leader in plumbing, heating and water control products. You will play a key role in keeping production running safely and efficiently while working with highly automated equipment, moulding systems and advanced technology.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electrical experience who enjoys solving problems, responding to breakdowns and working within a high tech automated environment.
What You Will Do- Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and moulding equipment
- Work on automation systems including PLCs and camera based inspection systems
- Diagnose faults, read engineering drawings and ensure minimal downtime across the 24/7 operation (automation is the main area of downtime)
- Support planned maintenance schedules and maintain accurate records
- Work independently on weekend shifts and as part of a wider team on weekdays
- Ensure safe working practices, compliance with HSE procedures and full adherence to site safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement activity within the engineering function
- Time served electrical apprenticeship (four years) or equivalent engineering qualification
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- PLC understanding or exposure to automation systems
- Experience with moulding or assembly equipment is desirable
- Pneumatics knowledge is helpful
- Ability to work confidently both alone and within a team
- Understanding of HSE processes and safe systems of work
- 17th or 18th edition is preferred but not essential
