Job Description
Working alongside the operations manager your key responsibilities will include:-
- Proficiently utilising computer applications, including transport management software and Google Workspace (particularly Google Sheets).
- Communicating effectively with internal departments, customers, and external partners via telephone, email, and in person.
- Maintaining accurate records across a number of systems including driver hours, mileage, telematics data, DBS checks for staff.
- Providing crucial support to the Operations Manager in day-to-day transport operations.
- Managing the early stages of incident/accident investigations, to determine fault and facilitate the next stages of investigation.
- Supervising the cleaning team of 6, including managing their working hours.
- General admin duties.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, \”can-do\” attitude.
- Valid UK Driving licence.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Weston-super-Mare
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Previous experience in transport operations preferred
- Monday-Friday work schedule with on-call responsibilities (on average, 1 in 4 weekends and 1 week night per week. Further details will be provided during the interview process)
