We\’re seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Maintenance Operative to join our clients team and help maintain and improve the company\’s vital assets—including machinery, equipment, and buildings.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance on plant, machinery and buildings
- Responding quickly to breakdowns and safety issues to minimise downtime
- Supporting repairs and providing analysis alongside the production and maintenance teams
- Assisting with electrical/electronic tasks during peak periods or staff absence
- Reporting any safety, breakdown, or environmental concerns to the Team Leader and Production Manager
- Contributing actively to safety initiatives and procedures
What We\’re Looking For
- Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds), ideally 17th / 18th Edition certified with PAT testing experience
- Solid mechanical skills: welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, drives
- An engieering minded, problem-solving approach
- An understanding of PLC programming and electronic systems is a plus
- A great communicator and collaborative team player
- Organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
