We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GP to provide maternity cover on a temporary basis from June. We are looking for 6 sessions per week for 6 months. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care within a busy clinical environment, ensuring continuity of care during the maternity leave period. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise and contribute positively to patient outcomes in a supportive healthcare setting. The position is paid and suitable for medical professionals with relevant experience in primary care.
Main duties of the job:
- Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients, including antenatal assessments and follow-up care
- Manage a diverse range of medical conditions, with an emphasis on maternal health and general practice
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Perform clinical examinations, including anatomy assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately within electronic health records
- Provide health education and counselling tailored to individual patient needs
- Support public health initiatives, including screening programmes and vaccination clinics
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to primary care settings
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance standards and safety protocols
Contract: We are looking for a 6 session GP to cover maternity cover from June 2026 for 1 year.
