A chance to shape strong foundations for young minds. Make a real difference in the earliest stages of learning. We are looking to appoint four dedicated Teaching Assistants to join the team at Hillside Primary School, supporting our youngest learners at a crucial point in their development.

Working closely with teachers, this role focuses on enabling children to access learning, build confidence and thrive socially and emotionally, particularly those with additional needs or barriers to learning. We are seeking applicants with a Level 3 qualification in Early Years who bring warmth, adaptability and a genuine commitment to inclusion, and who value working collaboratively to help every child feel supported, engaged and ready to succeed.

Location: Hillside Primary School

Contract: Permanent, Part Time & Full Time

Working Pattern: 2 x Part Time Role 20 hours / 2 x Full Time 32.5 hours, Term Time Only

Salary: ALT Grade D (£25,386 - £25,989 FTE)

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teaching and learning by working with individuals and small groups under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Implement and adapt planned learning activities, supporting inclusion and independent learning.
  • Assist in monitoring, recording and reporting pupils’ progress, behaviour and development.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND or additional needs, including personal and welfare care where required.
