Salary: ALT Grade G £27,441.48 - £30,459.14 Annually Actual
Weare looking for a compassionate and proactive Pupil Wellbeing Officer to play acentral role in supporting children whose wellbeing, attendance or personalcircumstances may be affecting their learning. Based at Hillside PrimarySchool, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ipswich, this positioncombines direct support for pupils with close partnership working alongsidefamilies, staff and external agencies to remove barriers and create positiveoutcomes. As a key member of the school community, the successful candidatewill lead targeted wellbeing interventions, contribute to safeguarding practiceand help ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to succeed.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted wellbeing support and interventions for pupils experiencing social, emotional, behavioural or attendance challenges.
- Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting safeguarding processes, referrals and record keeping.
- Lead the monitoring, reporting and improvement of pupil attendance, including work with persistently absent pupils.
- Maintain accurate wellbeing and safeguarding records and provide advice, guidance and training where required.
