You will be supported by an experienced regional leadership team who understand the realities of running a care home and provide guidance where needed but also trust their Home Managers to lead their homes with autonomy, professionalism, and integrity.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead Hillside Lodge Care Home, a welcoming 50-bed nursing home located in the beautiful coastal town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Hillside Lodge is a 50-bed nursing home set across two floors in a picturesque coastal location. The home currently operates at around 88% occupancy with an average weekly fee of £1,580 and benefits from a stable workforce with excellent nurse retention and zero agency usage. Supported by an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager, the team has created a warm, welcoming environment where residents receive compassionate, person-centred care and families feel confident in the support their loved ones receive.

The Role

As Registered Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, quality, and performance of the home. Your focus will be on maintaining excellent care standards, strengthening governance, supporting and developing a committed team, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, person-centred care. Working closely with families, professionals, and your regional leadership team, you will build on the home’s strong foundations while driving occupancy and ensuring the service operates successfully both clinically and commercially.

You are an experienced care leader who combines professional credibility with warmth, integrity, and strong leadership skills. You will have experience operating at Home Manager level in a care home environment, with a strong track record of maintaining positive CQC compliance outcomes. You are comfortable managing occupancy, budgets, and operational performance while building strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals.
