Part Time Kennel Worker, 32 hours a week on a rota pattern to include alternate weekend working. Experience of working with rescue dogs who have complex needs is an essential criterion.
We are looking to hire a part-time Kennel Worker who is committed to providing an excellent standard of care to our rescue dogs with complex needs. The successful candidate must have:
- 1 year minimum experience working with rescue dogs
- A genuine interest in canine welfare is essential
- Team player skills
- Practical hands-on, can-do and a hard-working approach to work
- Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work
- Current Manual Driver's licence
Duties will include:
- Handling dogs with behavioural issues
- Caring for dogs with a confident, patient and kind approach
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kennels
- Assisting in administering appropriate health care treatments
- Working with challenging dogs to gain their trust and confidence
- Liaising with members of the public who express an interest in re-homing a rescued dog
