Pro-rata salary: £22,128 to £23,648 per annum (Support Staff Pay Spine Point 7, £25,951 per annum FTE, to Point 10, £27,733 per annum FTE)

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one mentoring to support students accessing A-level courses.
  • Facilitate group workshops to build study skills and confidence.
  • Signpost students to relevant resources.
  • Offer occasional in-class support, including note-taking assistance in classrooms or labs.
  • Maintain student records and support organisation of workload.
  • Liaise effectively with students and teaching staff.
  • Support students during non‑teaching times to promote independent work.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work with young people, remain calm under pressure, and work as part of a team.
  • Confident IT skills and ability to maintain digital records.
  • Empathy for students aged 16‑19 and a genuine desire to support their transition.
  • Previous experience in an educational environment desirable.
