Hills Quarry Products is looking for a Mobile Plant Operative to join our Earthmoving Team based in Shorncote Quarry. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.

What is the role all about?

As our Mobile Plant Operative, you’ll be responsible for the safe operation and simple maintenance of mobile plant machinery, providing cover at other Hills Quarry sites as and when required.

What you will be doing:

  • Predominantly operating a dozer on our inert tips located at Shorncote and Latton Quarries as required.
  • Operating mobile plant as instructed by the Earthmoving Team Leader, the Site Manager or the Project Manager in a correct and safe manner.
  • Carrying out simple repair and maintenance work on the item of mobile plant you will be operating covering daily inspection.
  • Providing cover for other operatives within the Earthmoving Team.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • CPCS / CSCS / MPQC / NPORS Card relevant to mobile plant.
  • Previous experience using mobile plant including dozers, ADTs, loading shovel, and 360 excavators in a similar environment, holding certified tickets.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Desirable:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO) Mechanical knowledge of mobile plant.
  • Awareness of the Quarry Regulations 1999.
