Location: Amesbury

What is the role all about?

As the LGV Driver, you will be trained to operate a variety of Class 2 vehicles, focusing on various waste streams from commercial premises across Wiltshire. You will use vehicles such as rear‑end loaders, roll‑on roll‑off, hook‑lift, and box trucks to collect different types of waste from bin tipping to skip collecting.

What you will be doing:

  • Operate a variety of Class 2 vehicles to collect commercial waste streams across Wiltshire.
  • Carry out daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks, notifying the transport office of any defects.
  • Drive safely with due regard for other road users and work within Road Traffic legislation and regulations.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • A Class 2 LGV/HGV lorry licence holder.
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualified.

Desirable:

  • Previous Class 2 vehicle driving experience – in any industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude.
  • Experience working out and about in all weathers.
